Reading and Resource Series: Health & Wellness Literature In-Person
"No one knows what causes it. It’s not passed in the air. It’s not sexually transmitted. It’s not a virus or a bacteria, or if it is, it’s nothing scientists have been able to find.”
In Carmen Maria Machado’s story “Real Women Have Bodies,” no one knows why the women are fading. For this final installment of the Reading and Resource Series, we unpack Machado’s short story collection from a health sciences perspective. In addition to discussing parallels between the book and conversations today regarding Zoomer wellness and women’s health, we’ll dive into databases at Kornhauser Health Sciences Library and highlight of campus health and wellness resources.
